DISCOVER INDIA
India remains one of the most ethnically diverse countries in the world, occupying most of South Asia. India is home to countless castes and tribes, as well as more than a dozen major language groups and hundreds of minor language groups from various unrelated language families. Religious minorities, including Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, and Jains, still represent a significant proportion of the population; collectively, their numbers exceed the populations of all countries except China.
The magic of India lies in a vibrant abundance of people and landscapes. From the temples of Varanasi to the marble forts of Delhi and the carved sandstone palaces of Rajasthan, there is much to explore and experience on one of our tours of India. India also offers unique wildlife experiences through its renowned national parks and sanctuaries.
No matter how much you have done or how many countries you have visited, when you first arrive in India, it will hit you with unexpected force; a hurricane of sounds, smells, and colours where nothing is what it seems. India's most iconic structure, the Taj Mahal, is the most epic and emotional example of enduring love you will witness anywhere in the world. On a trip to India, you will come across countless temples and royal enclosures; the extravagant and slightly eccentric Mysore Palace with its intricate carvings and spectacular scenery; the legendary pink city of Jaipur; and monuments and buildings from the colonial era of the country.
Wildlife enthusiasts have a lot to enjoy. Venture into the quiet areas of Ranthambore National Park, where many will be lucky enough to see an elusive tiger, as well as leopards, deer, and more than 200 species of birds. Or explore the beautiful Gir National Park in search of the Asiatic lion, the only place in the world where these magnificent creatures reside.
